Despite living with MDS for many years, for the majority of those years you would never have known because Fiona never let it stop her from living her life to the fullest. She never complained. Even over the last few weeks, months and years, Fiona didn't let it define her. That being said, Fiona was a proud founding member of the MDS UK Patent Support Group. She would always try her best to help others. Be it by mentoring other people going through a similar experience or by raising awareness and helping others through openly sharing her own personal journey.
It's a fitting tribute that Fiona has inspired so many to donate so generously to a charity so close to her heart. I'm sure Fiona would be pleased and proud to know that so many people will benefit from the great work the charity does as a result.
This makes up just one, vitally important part of an incredible, lasting legacy!
